Christina of Sweden was a 17th-century monarch who dominated as a king.
Born lined in hair, she had a cry so deep that everybody thought she was a boy. Pleased to study she was a lady, her father decreed she would have the schooling of a prince and made her his inheritor. She inherited the throne on the age of 6 and dominated for years as a blunt, single, girl king who typically disguised herself as a person for political and security causes.
